WLCC REFUND POLICY
The Williams Lake Curling Club is a registered non-profit organization. Our club strives to maintain comparable league and program fees and ensure that our members receive the highest level of curling programming and playing conditions possible. WLCC incurs an administrative cost for each member during registration including but not limited to staffing, credit card and debit fees and programming expenditures. It is because of these costs that WLCC adheres to a strict refund policy.
Pandemic – Refund of fees will only be granted if, prior to the first day of curling for the season, the WLCC is forced to close due to a Pandemic and by the BC Ministry of Health. Individual requests for refunds will be dictated by our regular refund policies following. - If there is an Interruption of Play during the season due to a Pandemic, refunds for games missed due to closure of the club will be calculated per person per league as follows: All Stick Leagues & Youth Programs – Administration fee $30.00 withheld, and the balance of the fees pro-rated per game. All other leagues – Administration fee of $60.00 withheld, and the balance of the fees pro-rated per game. WLCC will try to arrange make-up games whenever possible.
Regular League & Youth Program Refunds requested prior to Final League Registration Date (Sept 15) for the Curling Season will be subject to a $30.00 Administration fee. League & Youth Program Refunds requested between the Final league Registration date and the first day of the registered league and/or program play are subject to a $30.00 Administration fee and 25% league fee. League & Youth Program Refunds requested after the first day of curling are subject to a $30.00 Administration fee and a 50% league fee providing that a full replacement team be found. Should a replacement team NOT be found, NO refund will be given except for very extenuating circumstances which are limited to death or a serious medical condition. These refunds will be calculated on a pro rated basis based. League Memberships are NOT transferable without the written consent of the WLCC Board of Directors. Spare Memberships are non-refundable
Bonspiel, Clinics and Special Events Refunds requested more than 7 days prior to the event date are subject to a $60.00 Administration fee OR 50% of the total cost if under $60.00.
Bonspiel, Clinics and Special Events Refunds requested 7 days or less prior to the event date are NOT eligible for a refund. Exception for a Bonspiel - If we can find a replacement team, a refund will be given minus a $60 Administration fee. Please note that the timeline for receiving refunds will be 4 weeks from receipt of refund request. A $40.00 fee will apply to any NSF cheques received by
WLCC. Effective: June 1, 2025
