Membership Types

Three membership options to enable different levels of access to our club.

Full Member – Member registered/paid in any League or Junior Program – see Fee Chart below

• Included in League Fees
• Full access to the Club and Member website and eligible for Member pricing for facility rentals (10% Discount).
• May spare for any “eligible” league with no additional spare fees (excludes daytime Stick Leagues).
• Access to free practice ice - book on-line.

Affiliate Member – This acts as a Spare Membership or a 5^th/6^th Man on any registered 4-man Team    

• Annual Membership Fee $75 + GST and CurlBC and Curling Canada fees
• Access to free practice ice - book on-line
• Is NOT already registered in a league or Junior Program. NOTE: Members that have registered for a League or Junior Program do NOT need to pay for sparing in evening leagues. 
• Unlimited sparing on any 4-man team during regular league play or playoffs.  When connected to a team, Affiliate Members may play any position.  When sparing for others, these members can either play the position of the missing team player OR the lowest position. 
• Full access to the Club and Member website and is eligible for Member pricing for facility bookings.
• Fee is transferrable to become a registered player of any ONE 4-man team.

Associate Member – Minimum requirement to Spare, Drop-In or be added to a Spare or Free Agent List 

• Annual Fee $5 + GST + CurlBC Fee $20 + Curling Canada Fee $2. NOTE: Fee is transferable when joining a league during the same season. Does NOT include $15 Spare ($10 Stick League) Fee/game.
• Full access to the Club and Member website, however, will pay non-member rates for facility rentals and practice ice. 

All weekday evening league fees, the Capital Improvement Fund fee, and lockers, are subject to a 5% GST, which is added upon registration. 

Please note: the CurlBC Affiliation Fee, the WLCC Membership Fee, and the WLCC Capital Improvement Fee are required payments for every member in every league, and are due ONLY ONCE PER YEAR, regardless of participation in multiple leagues. For information on multi-league discounts, please refer to the details below.

Capital Improvement Fee

As per the Annual General meeting held April 22, 2015, the Board of Directors implemented a yearly “Capital Improvement Fee” of $20.00 per person per year. These fees will be set aside for the improvement of the Curling Club as determined each year by the Board.

Spare Fees

• Non-members: $15.00/evening game | $10/Stick game + Affiliation Fee + Membership Fee + Capital Improvement Fee (all paid only once/year) after the 3rd time curling.
• Evening League Members:  are exempt from $15 Spare Fees when participating in any of our evening leagues, with the exception of the Stick League, which has a $10 fee. 
• Thursday Stick League Members: are subject to a $5 Spare Fee when participating in Monday Stick Drop-In. 

Locker Fees – Bring your own lock.

• General Membership: $36.67/year + GST – Members may keep their lockers year round and do not need to remove their items at the end of the curling season.
• Juniors – For the season, junior curlers are welcome to store their equipment/helmets in the shelves and bins located in the "Coaches Corner" of the Blackwood Beauty Studio Locker Room. 

Frequency Discount:

• Individuals participating in multiple curling leagues pay: 1) full price for their most expensive league 2) receive a 20% discount on their second league 3) receive a 30% discount on their third and any additional leagues.

Other:

• Juniors: when registered in our Sat Junior Program, participants receive a 50% discount when registering for an evening league. Please note that frequency discounts do not apply.
• Debenture Holders: receive a $15.00 discount
